The United Nations’ Climate Change Conference is being currently held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, one of the most unsustainable places on Earth. The news from the conference is not very hopeful. In 2011, there were more carbon emissions (gases responsible for climate change) than ever before!
Gandhi once said: “If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. … We need not wait to see what others do.”
My documentary film La Casa Ausente is a breath of fresh air in this debate, proposing that it is indeed possible to build and live sustainably in the Planet while preserving it for future generations.
