Portraits of Marseille

Marseille, the second largest city of France, is a melting pot of cultures, races, and traditions. Many Parisians deride it as a dirty city, “where Africa begins”. Obviously a racist comment. To me it is a vibrant, dirty, noisy, sunny, colorful, warm city, washed by the wonderful Mediteranean Sea, with people who are generally friendlier than their Parisian counterparts. Please enjoy these 12 portraits from Marseille.
