Mia is a different dog since she moved here. Like me, her life is more physically active. She walks an average of 1 hour a day, 7 days a week. In the woods and fields around us, there are many small black mice. They are about 5cm long (less than 2 inches). They are fast. They dig subterranean tunnels. Mia’s pastime since she moved here is to hunt for them. She smells them and digs into their tunnels to catch them. Here is one such moment.

  1. Qué cómico! Mía, la depredadora! Cuando la conocí se creía princesa!

I had 3 dogs, Max, Juno and Pepper. Max is or was a long hair, non stop barker Dachshund . After 12 years he ran away :(( or ;)) As of today we still do not know how he got out of our yard. Then we have Juno, our beautiful 4 year old female German Shepperd and…. our Pepper. Pepper is a 4 year old Catahoula Leopard. Pepper came to out house when she was about 3 months old and I did not know what the heck she was. I thought she was a mix of Dalmatian with another small dog. It was not until I took her to the vet to see if she had a micro chip that i found out what she really was (Hurricane Andrew). As per Gaby and Rubén, they found her wondering on the streets. A year ago or so they confessed that had bought the D… Dog! Well, she is adorable and as determined as Mia. I loved to watch Mia trying to get the mice. That’s pepper.. but 3 times her size. I have pictures of her on my FB. Pepper is very well known among our circle. The stories of Pepper are endle$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

BTW as Max got lost on May 18th 2012. I’m still looking for him. :((((

    Love,
    Tu prima Elena

Why don’t you share some pics of Pepper, Max and Juno. Didn’t get the hurricane Andrew comment. It’s funny how the kids eventually told you the real story. It’s a sad story about Max.

  3. Mi amor! When I walk Mia, which I do from Monday to Friday, I walk her minimum 2 hours a day. That’s how we both lost weight (Mia needed to loose more than I)….
