Franziska Furter, a Swiss artist based in Basel and Berlin created this wonderful mobile titled Mojo, installed under a bridge near the Viadukt in Zürich, as part of the Art and The City project. The mobile definitely brings mojo to the city.
Mojo has different meanings:
mojo 1 |ˈmōˌjō|
A magic charm, talisman, or spell. Sexual prowess.
Probably of African origin;
A term popularized by the Austin Powers movies.
mojo 2 |ˈmōˌjō|
a Caribbean sauce or marinade containing garlic, olive oil, and sour oranges.
ORIGIN probably from Castellano mojo ‘wet’ from mojar ‘make wet.’
do you think he had any of these definitions in mind?
he might have just like the sound of the word…
which makes me wonder what sound he heard in the word
moe joe or moe hoe or something with a german accent …
if it falls the definition will definitely go to the castellano roots
and the sound of the fall will be quite interesting.
